Supported IT Problems
Fixspert engineers cover the full spectrum of IT issues that businesses and individuals encounter every day. Whether you're dealing with a single failing laptop or a multi-site network outage, you'll find an engineer with the right skills.
- Hardware β laptops, desktops, servers, RAID arrays, storage drives, printers, and networking equipment that won't boot, overheats, or fails intermittently.
- Software β application crashes, OS errors, configuration drift, compatibility problems, performance degradation, and database lock contention.
- Networking β Wi-Fi dropouts, DNS failures, VPN misconfigurations, router setup, replication lag, and slow end-to-end connectivity.
- Troubleshooting β root-cause analysis on ambiguous symptoms, log triage, and structured diagnostics when nobody can tell what's actually broken.
How IT Support Works
Fixspert uses a competitive-bidding marketplace so you get the right engineer at a fair price β not the first one who happens to be online. Every step is transparent and auditable.
- 1. Post your problem. Describe the issue, attach logs or screenshots, set a budget range, and choose remote or onsite delivery.
- 2. Receive bids. Verified engineers submit proposals with their amount, estimated time, and approach. You see skills, completed projects, ratings, and reviews for each bidder.
- 3. Compare & choose. Smart ranking surfaces the most relevant engineers first β not just the cheapest. Pick the engineer whose expertise fits your problem.
- 4. Get fixed. Pay into escrow upfront; the engineer starts work. Funds are released only when you confirm the issue is resolved.
- 5. Review. Rate the engineer per skill. Your review feeds their per-skill reputation and helps future clients.
Remote vs Onsite Support
Remote IT Support
Most software, configuration, and network issues can be fixed remotely. Fixspert's Remote Assist feature gives the engineer screen-sharing, remote-control, and file-transfer capabilities β all gated behind your explicit consent and full audit logging. You can end the session at any time.
Onsite IT Support
Physical hardware failures, server-room work, and complex infrastructure installations need hands-on attention. Onsite engineers come to your location for diagnostics, repair, and setup. Onsite availability depends on where Fixspert engineers operate β we don't promise worldwide coverage.
Engineer Verification
Every engineer on Fixspert goes through identity verification before they can bid on paid work. Verified engineers carry a badge on their profile. Beyond identity, our per-skill reputation system tracks completed projects, client satisfaction, on-time delivery, and recent activity β so when a WordPress expert bids on your WordPress issue, you can see exactly how they've performed on similar work.
Payment Protection (Escrow)
When you accept a bid, you pay into escrow. Fixspert holds the funds and only releases them to the engineer when you confirm the work is complete. If the engineer fails to deliver, the funds can be returned to you through the dispute-resolution process. There are no shady off-platform payments, no "send money first" requests, and no losing money to engineers who ghost you mid-job.
Service Workflow Summary
Post β receive bids β compare β choose β pay escrow β work starts β confirm delivery β funds released β review the engineer. Every status change is visible in your dashboard, and every message is logged for dispute resolution if anything goes wrong.
